WOW air operates two Airbus A320 aircraft, seven Airbus A321 and three Airbus A330. Our fleet will increase to 24 aircraft by the end of 2018.
The A320 is the choice of many of the world's leading airlines and a perfect fit for our short haul flights between Europe and Iceland.
For WOW air's flights to North America, the airline operates the Airbus A321, the largest member of the Airbus A320 family. With a stretched fuselage, the A321 allows for wider passenger seats and more legroom, which is key for passenger comfort. The Airbus A321 also offers a step change in fuel efficiency and its advanced technology allows for lower maintenance cost.
WOW air's California routes are serviced by three long-range Airbus A330 aircraft, the first wide-body jets in the WOW air fleet and the largest aircraft operated by an Icelandic carrier with seats up to 350 guests.
The WOW fleet will increase to 24 aircraft by the end of 2018. Among the additions will be four brand new A330-900neo widebody aircraft and two A321ceo aircraft. The A330-900neo includes new generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and aerodynamic enhancements that, in combination, offer a 14% reduction in fuel consumption per seat, making it the most cost effective, medium-range widebody aircraft on the market.
Fleet of the future
We are proud to operate the youngest fleet in Iceland with the lowest emission. Planes are the cars of the sky and the same rule applies; newer planes burn less fuel which is better for the environment and your wallet. They are also more comfortable and oh so quiet.
